Payment:

Payment is due at the end of each appointment.  A receipt will be provided which you can use to get reimbursed by your insurance provider or claim as an income tax deduction.

Payment may be made by cash or cheque.

Insurance & Fees:

Psychological services are not covered under the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP).  However, many extended health insurance plans do provide coverage for services provided by a registered psychologist.  The extent of the coverage provided varies and your health insurance provider will be able to give you information about your coverage as well as how to get reimbursed.  If you are employed, the Human Resources Department will likely be able to assist with questions you may have.

Note that the fees you pay to a registered psychologist can be claimed on your income tax return as a medical expense deduction.

The fees for services at the clinic follow the guidelines set by the Ontario Psychological Association (OPA).  Please contact the clinic for information regarding the fees for specific services.

Cancelled or Missed Appointments:

If you need to cancel an appointment, please give as much notice as possible.  You will be personally charged for appointments not canceled at least 48 hours in advance.  Insurance companies generally do not reimburse  unattended appointments.
